Malesia is a distinct floristic region composed of 7 countries (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Singapore and Timor-Leste). The region has some of the highest levels of plant diversity on Earth but also some of the most threatened. This lecture will celebrate the plant diversity of the region in particular the family Sapotaceae.
