Community Woodlands in Scotland (2006 – 2010)

Update: 2011 – The fieldwork for this project has now been completed and an illustrated report has been published (see Publications).

Members of woodland groups may wish to continue monitoring their woodlands. For their convenience, the downloads for the project have been retained on this website (see below). The 'Instructions for the fieldwork' have been revised with future monitoring in mind.

This project was carried out in collaboration with the Community Woodlands Association (CWA). The aims were to record plant diversity in community woodlands in Scotland and to describe the structure of the woodlands by assessing the abundance of each age-class for every species of tree and shrub.

Thank you for any time you gave to this project.
