Sunday, 9 December, 2018 (All day)

The Fungus Group of South-East Scotland is planning a recording workshop. The aim is to explore three different recording systems used for fungi in Scotland. The workshop will cover the key pieces of information needed for a comprehensive record, as well as one or two short forays.
Provisional details: Sunday 9 December at Penicuik House, south of Edinburgh. Day long workshop. Costs will be small to cover refreshments and handouts.
Please email to register an interest and obtain further details.

Situated on the western outskirts of the small town of Penicuik, just 15km south of Edinburgh, Penicuik House and its Designed Landscape nestle within a valley formed by the North Esk River on the eastern edge of the Pentland Hills. (Penicuik House EH26 9LA)

The public entrance to Penicuik House and Designed Landscape is located just off the A766 and clearly signposted Penicuik House Preservation Trust. The car park, with capacity for 50 cars, is open to all our visitors and Penicuik House is just a short walk away, along a path that also gives direct access to the Designed Landscape.

Blue Badge holders only are welcome to drive up into the heart of the Estate and park beside the house. Please contact the Ranger Service Office on 01968 670738 to arrange this in advance.
